Varnell Barnes Conner

Varnelle Barnes Conner, 74, of Fitzgerald passed away Friday, February 5, 2016 at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald after an extended illness.

Born on January 25, 1942 to the late Joseph Hollis Barnes and Lucile Adkison Jowers she was a homemaker and a member of Church of Unity in Fitzgerald.

She is survived by her niece, Pamela Barnes Cox of Ocilla; sister, Treva (Clarke) Johnson of Lyons; best friend and caregiver, Lucille Oliver of Fitzgerald; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Perry Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 12:30 PM until the hour of services at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
