Virginia Edwards

Funeral Services for Virginia Mae Stewart Edwards, 80, of Albany, Ga. will be held 1:00 PM, Friday, June 24, 2005 at the Ashburn First Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn. Mrs. Edwards passed away Tuesday in Tift Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

The daughter of the late Troy Blackburn and Callie Tee Smith Williamson, she was born in Raeford Co., N.C. and was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Albany. A homemaker, she was a resident of Albany since 1998. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by a son Andrew Stewart, Jr.

Survivors include her husband, Millard E. Colson, Albany, Ga.; her children Jimmie Ray Stewart, Ashville, N.C.; Francis Mills, Quinton, OK.; Audrey Strock, Santee, S.C.; Alice Nelson, Ashburn, Ga.; Aris Hall, Albany, Ga. and Nancy Woodard, Lawndale, N.C.; Half Sisters, Trophis Neister, Fayetteville, N.C. and Callie Tee Rogers, Winter Haven, FL. Nineteen Grandchildren, Thirteen Great-Grandchildren and One Great-Great Grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, please make donations to the Youth Fund at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 775 Pleasant Grove Church Rd., Albany, Ga. 31705.

The Family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 PM till 8:30 PM at Perry Funeral Chapel.
