Donald Ray Overturf, 82, of Sycamore passed away Saturday, July 2, 2016 at his residence.
Born on September 25, 1933 to the late William Henry and Mayme May Copas Overturf he was a self-employed painter and a member of the Baptist faith. He also served his country with honor in the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife, Claire Landis of Sycamore; Step-sons, Erick (Phyliss) Landis of Ashburn and Lance Landis of Ashburn; Step-daughters, Diane (Allen) Saylor of Sycamore, Marylin Williams of Jesup, Rosalind Gardner of Pineview, and Patricia (Randall) Roggs of Jacksonville, Florida; and a sister, Rosemary Woodham of Hohenwald, Tennessee. Many step-grandchildren also survive.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
