Charles "Crow" Pitts, 66, of Ashburn passed away Friday, February 10, 2017 at Tift Regional Medical Center.
The son of the late John Dan and Nell Horton Pitts, he was born on June 10, 1950 in Ashburn. He was a battery builder at Delphi Remi Company in Fitzgerald. Affectionately known as "Crow" he enjoyed fishing, bowling and watching football. Above all, he love spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his sons, Robert Wayne (Holly) Jeffery of Sycamore, Robert Wayne Jeffery , Sr. of Tifton and William (Millie) Jeffery of Sylvester; brothers, Carl C. Pitts of Atlanta and Jackie Horton of Texas; sister, Dianne Pitts of Athens; daughter-in-law, LaDonna Stanley of Florida; grandchildren, Leisa Jeffery Mace, Joe Miles Jeffery, Ashley Jeffery, Katlin Downs and Chad Jeffery; seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Pitts and a son, Joseph Jeffery.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Perry Funeral Chapel. The family will greet friends immediately following the service.
