James Almand

Funeral services for James Almand, age75, 459 North Jefferson, Ashburn will be held Saturday, September 3, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at the Ashburn First Baptist Church with burial to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn. Mr. Almand died Wednesday at his residence following an extended illness.

Mr. Almand was born in Austell, Ga. and was the son of the late Leonard A. & Ruth Carr Almand. He was the retired owner and operator of Almand’s Radiator Repair. He was a member of the Ashburn First Baptist Church and had resided in Ashburn since 1954.

Mr. Almand is survived by his wife, Aundeen Reid Almand, Ashburn, Ga., one son, Allan Almand, Apalachicola, Florida. Also surviving are three brothers, Harold Almand, Conyers, Ga., George Almand, Dade City, Florida and Gene Almand, Titusville, Florida, and five sisters, Annelle Henson, Payson, Arizona, Glenda Johnson, White Springs, Florida, Shirley Edwards, Melbourne, Florida, Carolyn Almand, Jackson, Ga. and Dot Almand, Atlanta, Ga. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred and Glynn Almand.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00-9:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel, Ashburn, Ga.
