Grady "Bo" Beard, 93, of Sycamore passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Born on May 7, 1924 to the late George Dewey and Mozella Americus Poore Beard, he was a retired farmer. Mr. Beard was also a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline Childs of Sycamore; step-daughters, JoAnn (Dan) Taylor of Sycamore, Vickey (Bob) Montroy of Brunswick and Lorraine Brown of Ashburn; sisters, Ruth B. Youngblood of Ashburn and Shirley B. Whiddon of Tifton. Four grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, Josie Peacock, Joyce Sherrer, Dewey Beard, Curtis Beard, Obie Beard, Ottis Beard and Donald Beard.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Bethel Baptist Church at 1:00 PM with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends from 11:30 AM until the hour services at the church.
