Edward Lee Saylor, 85, of Plant City, Florida passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Baldomero Lopez Hospital in Land O'Lakes, Florida.
Born in Sumner, Georgia on September 15, 1931, he was the son of the late Gordon Lee and Alma Lucille Albritton Saylor. He served his country with honor in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Ashburn where he served as pastor for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Flora Dobbins Saylor of Plant City, Florida; son, Gordon (Merle) Saylor of Plant City, Florida; daughter, Bobbie Jean Jervee of Dallas, Texas; brothers, Curtis Saylor of Ashburn, Leroy (Yvone) Saylor of Tifton, Harold (Faye) Saylor of Sycamore and Merle (Ann) Saylor of Macon; sisters, Bobbie McKinney of Ashburn and Melba (Tom) Moody of Tifton; nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughters, Kathy Burton and Rite Joyce Cole.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Perry Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends beginning at 2:00 PM until the hour of services Wednesday.
