Lester Roy Pitts, Jr., 67, of Sycamore passed away Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Pruitt Health Care in Ashburn.
Born on January 25, 1950, he was the son of the late Lester Roy, Sr. and Eula Belle Nelson Pitts. He was adopted at a young age by Jeff Pitts, the only father he knew. He was retired and a native of Turner County. He was also a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Dianne J. Pitts of Sycamore; sons, Jeffery Pitts of Fitzgerald and Jonathan (Sam) Pitts of Jacksonville, Florida; daughter, Ashley Marie Pitts of Jacksonville, Florida; brothers, Willie (Karen) Pitts of Orange Park, Florida, Ray (Shirley) Pitts of Cartersville, John (Cindy) Pitts of Jacksonville, Florida and Tommy (Kim) Pitts of Jacksonville, Florida; sister, Deborah (Mike) Rhoden of Jacksonville, Florida; grandchild, Hunter Pitts of Jacksonville, Florida.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Perry Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM until the hour of services.
