Lucy Sanders Truluck Watson

Funeral Services for Lucy Sanders Truluck Watson, 83, of Tyty, GA. will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 3, 2005 at the Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Watson passed away Monday at an Albany Hospital following an extended illness.

The daughter of the late John Columbus and Queen Vashti Simmons Sanders, she was born in Dooly Co., Ga. and had resided in Ashburn since 1960, before moving to Tyty in May of 2003. She was an employee of the Turner Theater from 1960 till it was destroyed by fire in the early 1970’s. Mrs. Watson was a member of the Christian Union Church of God in Ashburn. She was preceded in death by her first husband Ernest Truluck, Sr. in 1960 and her second husband Perry Green Watson in 1988. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Ernest Truluck, Jr. and John David “Ike” Truluck and three great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Rachel O’Neal, Tyty, GA.; Billy Truluck, Ashburn, GA.; James (Jim) Truluck, Milner, GA.; Freddie Truluck, Bradenton, FL.; Eddie Truluck, Albany, GA.; and Peter M. “Mike” Truluck, Tyty, GA.; eleven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from seven till nine at Perry Funeral Chapel.
