Joe Adkison

Funeral services for Joe E. Adkison, age 59, of Rebecca, Ga. will be held Friday, November 4, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, in Rebecca with burial to follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mr. Adkison died Wednesday at the Ashburn Health Care following an extended illness.

Mr. Adkison was born in Turner County and was the son of the late Elbert J. and Alice Swain Adkison. He loved to play with toy tractors with trailers.

He is survived by four brothers, Lester Adkison, Rebecca, Ga., Milton Adkison & Hansel Adkison both of Albany, Ga. Also surviving are two sisters, Jessie Lee Waldon, Bessemer, Alabama and Hazel McElmurray, Ashburn, Ga.

The family will receive friends Thursday from Six until Eight Thursday Evening at Perry Funeral Chapel. 301 McLendon St., Ashburn, Georgia
