Dorris Brown

Funeral services for Dorris A. Brown, age 97, of Ashburn will be held Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Sycamore, Ga. Mrs. Brown died Sunday at the Ashburn Health Care following an extended illness.

Mrs. Brown was born in Bartow County, Ga. and was the daughter of the late Walter A. and Ola Mae Harris Archer. She was a member of the Dakota Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Terrell McCoy Brown in 1966 and by one son, Harold Mc. Brown in 2004.

Mrs. Brown is survived by a daughter in law, Peggy Mauldin Brown, Roswell, Ga. and two sisters, Mary Lightfoot and Aileen Leach both of Tifton, Ga. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Leigh and Bruce Bennett, Roswell, Ga., Zachary and Carol Brown, Suwannee, Ga. and Barry and LaDonna Brown, Maumelle, Ark. and great grandchildren, Kellie Bennett, Roswell, Ga., Ryan and Matthew Brown, Suwannee, Ga. and Jason Brown, Maumelle, Ark. and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6:30-8:30 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel.
