Florence Copeland

Funeral Services for Mrs. Florence Copeland, 81, of Sycamore, Ga. will be held 11:00 AM, Monday at the Arp Missionary Baptist Church in Irwin Co., Ga. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Copeland passed away, Saturday, November 12, 2005 in Ocilla following an extended illness.

The daughter of the late Tandy Jane and Mae Ola Driver Cleghorn, she was born in Irwin Co. and had lived in Turner Co. since 1961. She was the widow of Lee Roy Copeland. She was also preceeded in death by a son, Terry Copeland and a granddaughter Judy Kay Copeland. An industrial seamstress, homemaker and devoted wife she was a member of the Arp Baptist Church where she was a devoted Sunday school teacher. Her love for gardening, crocheting, cooking and playing the piano will always be remembered by her family and friends.

Survivors include her children, Larry Copeland, Fitzgerald, Ga., Diane Gregory, Sycamore, Ga., Betty Lamb, Rebecca, Ga. and Teressa Smith, Weimar, Tx. A sister Bernice Eleen White, Ocilla, Ga., ten grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 4 till 6 at Perry Funeral Chapel.
