Funeral services for Benjamin Perry Wadsworth, 63, of Ashburn, GA will be held at 3:00 PM, Monday, January 7, 2019 at Perry Funeral Chapel. Mr. Wadsworth passed away Friday at his residence following a brief illness. Interment will be in Harmony Church Cemetery in Turner County.
The son of the late Robert L and Dorothy Mae Clanton Wadsworth, he was born in Tampa, FL and was a driver for The Scales Trucking Co. A member of the Pembroke First Baptist Church, he loved fishing, camping and taking care of his plants. He was an avid music lover, especially loud, classical rock music.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Daniel of Ashburn; his step-children, Keith (Becky) Rich, Kathy (J.C.) Cooper all of Ocilla and Kenneth Rich of Tifton. His siblings, Bobby (Joyce) Wadsworth of Springfield, Sandra Muse of Ashburn; Lynne W. (John) Merritt, Teresa W. (Wendell) Lupo, Donna W. (Randy) Holley all of Sycamore; Pam W. (Johnny) Whiddon of Morven. He is also survived by his granddaughters, Kennedy Rich and Natalie Rich and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Patsy Ennis of Pembroke.
The family will receive friends Sunday, January 6, from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Perry Funeral Chapel.
