Geraldine “Gerry” Foltz, 84, of Ashburn passed away Sunday, May 5 at Pruitt Health of Ashburn following a lengthy illness. Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Ashburn First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Foltz was the daughter of George Cox of Colorado and Patty Hughes Cox of Washington, DC. She moved from District Heights, MD to Ashburn in 1967 with her husband Shirley Foltz and 3 sons. She was a retired instructor for the GA Dept. Of Human Resources, having worked with handicapped adults in Turner County for many years. During retirement she was very active in the community, as a member of the Fire Ant Festival Committee, a tour guide at the Crime and Punishment Museum, and a volunteer at the Victoria Evans Memorial Library. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Foltz is survived by two sons, John Foltz of Powder Springs, GA and Charles “Chuck” Foltz of Port Charlotte, FL, and five grandchildren, David Foltz, Elizabeth Foltz, Jonathan Foltz, Brandon Foltz, and Cameron Foltz.
