Funeral Services for Annette Beard Murray, 92, of Ashburn, GA will be held Monday, May 27 at 2:00 PM at the Ashburn First Baptist Church. Mrs. Murray passed away Tuesday in Tifton at Cypress Pond Assisted Living. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn.

The daughter of the late Paul F. and Arminta Ross Beard, she was born in Sycamore, GA on December 12, 1926. The widow of William Briston Murray, Jr., she was a member of the Ashburn First Baptist Church. Mrs. Murray was a former secretary for Len Lastinger Elementary School and worked with The Department of Family Children and Services in Tifton. She enjoyed reading, studying the Bible, playing word search and crossword puzzles. She attended business school in Macon and served as a phone operator/supervisor. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Paula Murray and her sister, Dorothy “Dot” McClure.

Survivors include her children, William A. “Bill” (Eve) Murray of Homerville, GA and Brian D. (Gail) Murray of Layton, UT. Her grandchildren, Ross Murray (fiancée Kristen Kacmar), Ben Murray, Trey Murray (Jennifer), Laura Lee Smith and her children, Callie, JD and Sam, David Murray, Lisa Done, Brandon Done, Daniel Hadley, Amanda Murray and Edward Murray. She was looking forward to the birth of her first great grandchild that will be born shortly. She is also survived by her sister, Myrtice Carter of Sycamore and her brother, J. G. Beard of Tallahassee, FL. Sherry Rush, special caregiver also survives Mrs. Murray.

The family will receive friends, Monday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Ashburn First Baptist Church.
