Lunell Massey

Funeral Services for Mrs. Lunell Massey, 70 of Sycamore, Ga. will be held 11:00 AM Friday, January 27, 2006 at the Trinity Baptist Church in Ashburn. Interment will follow at 3:00 PM in the Bertha Dozier Memorial Park Cemetery in Montezuma, Ga. Mrs. Massey passed away Wednesday at an Albany Hospital following a lengthy illness.

The daughter of the late Archie S. and Berta Barfield Collier she was born in Macon Co., Ga. and had lived in Turner Co. since 1975. A homemaker, she enjoyed cooking, sewing, fishing, camping and working in her yard and being with her family and friends. A member of the Trinty Baptist Church she was the widow of Alfred Massey.

Survivors include her children Richard Massey, Robert Massey, Roy Massey all of Ashburn and Priscilla M. Wilson, Thomaston, Ga.; her brothers Elton Collier, Sonny Collier, Herman Collier all of Ft. Valley, Ga., Tommy Collier, Albemarle, NC, Melvin Collier, Bryon, Ga. and Daniel Collier, Perry, Ga.; her sisters Betty Ruth Roberts, Bryon, Ga., Margaret Wiggins, Sycamore, Ga.; Sixteen grandchildren, 31 Great-Grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday night from Six till Eight at Perry Funeral Chapel.
