Funeral services for Joyce Ann McCook Harris, 77, of Sycamore, GA will be held Thursday, December 19, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Perry Funeral Chapel, Ashburn, GA. Mrs. Harris passed away Saturday, December 14, 2019 after extended illness. Interment will follow at New Prospect Freewill Baptist Church.
The daughter of the late Jimmy Doyle McCook and Fannie Pearl Apperson McCook, she was born in Sylvester, GA. Mrs. Harris was a seamstress and member of New Prospect Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Leon Harris. .
Survivors include one son, Kenneth (Peggy) Harris, Jacksonville, FL; three daughters, Larita (Aubrey) Johnson, Ashburn, GA; Kay (Jon) Robinson, Ty Ty, GA; Lynn (Brian) Smith, Morehead City, NC; six grandchildren, Steven Harris, Christina Harris, Rita Shalee Keller, Amy DeAnn Childers, Jennifer Kaycee Robinson, Jessie McKayla Smith; seven great-grandchildren, Desean Harris, Ettiene Harris, Deven Keller, Austin McEntyre, Destiny Childers, Jonathan Childers and Tabitha McEntyre; her special nieces Lillie McEntyre and Mary Ann Standland and extra-special caregiver, Cindy Mahoney.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 18, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn.
