Johnny Vega

Funeral Services for Mr. Johnny Juan Angel Vega, Sr., 63, of Ashburn will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, February 3, 2006 at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn. Interment will follow on the family farm, 1744 Alberson Rd. in Turner Co. Mr. Vega passed away Sunday at his residence following an extended illness.

A loving family man and a person willing to help anyone in need, he was a long time resident of Miami, FL. and moved to Turner Co. about a month ago. Mr. Vega found God and was a devoted Christian. He was the son of the late Cristobal Salinas and Maria De La Luz Gonzales Vega and was born in China Nuevo Leon Mexico. He was a contractor for labor harvester and was a produce salesman.

Survivors include his wife to whom he married in 1959, Beatrice Benavidez Vega, his sons, Johnny Angel Vega, Jr.; Ramiro Vega all of Ashburn; his daughters, Christina Vega, Labelle, FL., Maria Ernestina Vega, Austin, MA., Celestina Vega Perez, Miami, FL., his sisters, Maria Vega Martinez, Miami, FL., Leonila Vega Vela, McMallam, TX., his brothers, Cristobal Vega, Jr., Houston, TX., Ramiro Vega, Clarks Summit, PA., Ernesto Vega, Corona, CA., Elias Vega, San Antonio, TX.; Thirteen grandchildren and Ten great-Grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from seven till nine at Perry Funeral Chapel.
