Julia Smith

Funeral Services for Mrs. Julia North McNair Smith, 89, of Tifton will be held Monday, 2:00 PM, February 13, 2006 at the graveside in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Smith passed away Saturday in Tifton following an extended illness.

The daughter of the late Joel Smith and Lillian Stevens North, she was born in Turner Co. where she had lived for many years. A member of the First United Methodist Church in Ashburn she was a member of the Austin Saxon Sunday School Class and the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of Primetimers. Mrs. Smith was a retired bookkeeper and secretary. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert S. North and a sister Joelyn N. Sheppard.

Survivors include her children, Joe and Ramona McNair of Tifton, Ga. and Kem and Deborah McNair of New Smyrna Beach, FL.; her grandchildren, Mona and Keith Cawley of Tifton, Ga. and Allien McNair of Rome, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Amanda Cawley and Trent Cawley of Tifton, Ga.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening from six until seven at Perry Funeral Chapel.
