Barbara Roberts, 82, of Norman Park passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 22, 2020.

Barbara was born on August 29, 1937 in Tift County to the late Charlie L. and Nora Naomi Gay Mallard. She was bus driver for the Turner County Board of Education and a member of Carpenter Road Church of God in Tifton.

She is survived by her daughter, Diana (Dale) Rutledge of Washington, North Carolina; sons, Vernon (Elizabeth) Yancey of Sycamore and Derrick Yancey of Lenox; brother, Pap Mallard of Tifton; grandchildren, Patricia (Levi) Douglas of Norman Park, Joyce (Billy) Caton of Sycamore, Chad Yancey of Sycamore, Scott Silman of Houston, Texas, Donnie (Savannah) Yancey of Thomasville, Dannie (Ruby) Yancey of Albany, Wesley (Anna) Yancey of Tifton and D. J. (Katie) Yancey of Lenox; fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Lafayette Mallard.

Due to the public health crisis, all services will be private.
