Clint Edwards, 77, of Ashburn passed away Thursday, May 28, 2020 at his residence.
Clint was born on June 21, 1942 in Ty Ty to the late Caroyl Clinton and Ellen Davis Willis Edwards. He was a self-employed carpenter and also worked for Barnes Electric. He enjoyed camping, fishing and walking on nature trails. He was a member of High Hill Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, the Training Union Director and song leader. He also built the cabinets in the church social hall and volunteered with Vacation Bible School.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Penn Edwards of Ashburn; son, David Carl (Vicki Lynn) Edwards of Ashburn; brother, Jerry Wayne (Becky) Edwards of Ocilla; sister, Melba Jean McNatt of Ocala, Florida; grandchildren, David Carl (Crystal) Edwards, Jr. and Tiffany Beth Edwards Reed; great-grandchildren, Shane Michael Harlow, David Lee Edwards, Connor Edwards, Anakin Luke Edwards, Jedidiah Reed and Elijah Reed.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Gabriel Edwards.
There will be a public visitation for Mr. Edwards Monday, June 1, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Perry Funeral Chapel. Strict social distancing guidelines will be followed. Masks are optional but encouraged. Due to continued restrictions, a private, family only graveside service will follow.
