Myrtice Kathryn "Dixie" Bryan Brooks, 73, of Perry passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at the Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins.
Kathryn was born on June 28, 1946 in Ashburn to the late Lelious "Judge" Earlman and Myrtice Carlee Durham Bryan. She was a member of the Baptist faith. She also served her country with honor in the United States Army where she earned her nickname, Dixie. She enjoyed crafting, gardening and spending time with her family which included extensive travel, camping and hunting.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherrie (Richard) Brooks Stites of Utah; son, Clark E. Brooks of Utah; grandchildren, Tina Judkins, Adam Brooks, Amanda Brooks, Andrew Brooks, Brye Brooks and Collin Brooks. After her move back to Georgia she remained close with several nephews and a niece and their families.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Houston Brooks and a son, Ricky Brooks.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, graveside Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Rose Hill Cemetery.
