Lucille Watson Hobby, 85, of Ashburn passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Lucille was born in Cook County on July 14, 1935 to the late Aaron and Elon Bennett Watson. She was an active member of Inaha Baptist Church. She loved her kids and grandkids. Lucille enjoyed cooking but especially cakes and pies and was an avid Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves fan. She also enjoyed fishing with her friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Marsha (Steve) Hobby Vick of Moultrie; sons, Dale (Vicki) Hobby of Ashburn and Scotty (Lilly) Hobby of Sycamore; sister, Cora Mae Sumner of Sparks; brother, Lawton Watson of Adel; thirteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Elton Hobby, Sr., son, Bernard Elton Hobby, Jr. and her siblings, Wava Stephens and Bobby Watson.
While no formal visitation will be held for those who would like to pay their respects Mrs. Hobby will lie in state from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Perry Funeral Chapel. Masks are encouraged and social distancing rules will be enforced. Funeral services will be private.
