C.E. Moore, Jr.

Funeral services for C.E. Moore, Jr. age 89, of Ashburn will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 6, 2006 at Oak Grove Baptist Church with burial to follow at Zion Hope Cemetery in Crisp County, Georgia. Mr. Moore died Friday at Tift Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

Mr. Moore was born in Live Oak, Florida and was the son of the late Charlie E. Moore, Sr. and Sallie Lowe Moore. He was a retired farmer and was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church. He was the former music director at Harmony Baptist Church, Trinity Baptist Church, and Rocky Mount Baptist Church. He also served as a Deacon at Harmony Baptist Church and Trinity Baptist Church. He was one of the founders of Westside Baptist Church in Ashburn.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Posey Moore of Ashburn, two sons, Cary L. Moore of Ashburn and Frank Moore of Sylvester, Ga., and one daughter, Ann Riner of Ashburn Also surviving are five grandchildren, Bob Brooke, Sycamore; Casey Moore Kennedy, Edmond, Oklahoma; David Brooke, Tifton; Joe Moore, Sylvester, and Bryan Riner, Tifton. Also surviving are six great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 7:00-9:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel.
