Funeral services for Charles Harrell Ireland, 88, of Arnoldsville, GA will be private. Mr. Ireland passed away Saturday, October 31, at his residence after an extended illness.
The son of the late Herbert Greenberry Ireland and Eva Lea Benford Ireland, he was born in Turner County, GA. Mr. Ireland was a retired employee of Harris Press and Shear and former owner of Harrell’s Welding in Ashburn, GA. He was a member of Dakota Baptist Church and a Mason. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Leonard Kirby Ireland and a brother, Herbert Roger Ireland.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Jo Bridges Goff ; two sons, Randy Charles (Valerie)Goff, Buford, GA; Jeffry James (Jennifer) Goff , Hernando, MS; three daughters, Starling Ann (Roger) Giddens, Ashburn, GA; Mitzi Selina Noble, Lake Park, GA; Barbara Goff (Bill) Luke, Winterville, GA; one daughter-in-law, Carol Ireland, Tifton, GA; four sisters, Helen Hancock, Tifton, GA; Faye McCaffery, Thomasville, GA; Hazel Childs, Valley, AL; Dot Coker, Sycamore, GA; thirteen grandchildren, Craig (Brandi) Giddens; Hope Raffield, Shea Noble, Camrie Noble, Gabe Ireland, Dona (Rob) Miller, Chance (Jennifer) Warren, Brandon (Janet) Goff, Alison (Adam) Maddox, Hannah (Ted) Mayfield, Caleb (Anna) Goff, Joshua (Laurel) Goff, Ethan Goff and fifteen great-grandchildren.
