Willie Hugh Newsome, 81, of Sycamore, GA passed away Thursday, Feb. 11, 2021 at Pruitt Health Care in Ashburn, GA following an extended illness.
Mr. Newsome was the son of the late John Jackson Collins and Edith Irene Hardin and was born in Crisp County, GA. He was a member of the Baptist Faith and was a retired mechanic. After the death of his parents, Mr. Newsome was raised by his adopted mother Rillie Jane Turner Newsome.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Lettie Jolley, Andrew Newsome and Forrest Newsome.
Mr. Newsome was a kind and gentle person who never met a stranger; he is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID restrictions, there will be no formal visitation and services will be private with his family in attendance at Perry Funeral Chapel. He will be laid to rest in Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn.
