Grady Eugene West, Sr., 97, of Cordele passed away Saturday, March 20, 2021 at his residence.
Mr. West was born on December 18, 1923 in Turner County to the late Jack and Cora Deal West. He was a member of Warwick Baptist Church. He worked as an engineer for the Crisp County Power Commission. He also served his country with honor as a Merchant Marine. Mr. West enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his daughters, Connie W. Skeen of Dothan, Alabama and Debra W. Thomson of Dothan, Alabama; son, Gene West of Cordele; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Parham West.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
