Norman R. Lorenzen, 86, of Rebecca passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021 at his residence.
Norman was born in Dixon, Nebraska on February 2, 1935 to the late Alvin H. and Mary Emma Fouss Lorenzen. He was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in South Dakota. He was also a supervisor for Peco Manufacturing in Portland, Oregon. He served his country with honor in the United States Army and earned the Good Conduct medal, Expert Infantry Badge, Sharpshooter Badge (Rifle), Marksman Badge (Rifle) and Expert Badge (Bayonet). He loved hunting and fishing especially Sturgeon and Salmon Fishing and Elk Hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Lorenzen of Rebecca; children, Linda Lorenzen, Ralph Lorenzen, Rob Lorenzen, April (Doug) Ellis, Charles Hutton, Lorie Polly, Lisa Polly, Lan Polly, Eldon (Ruth) Polly and Eric Polly; siblings, Carol (Dennis) Seidschlag, Earl (Judy) Lorenzen and Eugene (Janelle) Lorenzen. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, Martha Hauff, Kenneth Lorenzen, Vernon Lorenzen and Sharon Lorenzen
