Maurine Williams, 96, of Sycamore passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Pruitt Healthcare in Ashburn.
Maurine was born in Turner County on September 20, 1925 to the late Ed and Ena Belle Hasty Beard. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and a homemaker. Maurine enjoyed sewing and loved to read. She enjoyed spending time with her family but especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Carla (Junior) Belflower of Sycamore; son, Troy (Glenda) Williams of Sycamore; grandchildren, Gina (Rayford) Barnes and Jamie (Stephanie) Williams. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Williams and a brother, Wallace Beard.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Bethel Baptist Church. The family will greet friends from 3:00 PM until the hour of services at 4. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery.
