Barbara Ann Ward Burdett, 79, of Ashburn passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022 at Maple Court in Tifton.
Barbara Ann was born in Turner County on March 17, 1943 to the late Eddie Carl and Desma Lucille Walls Ward. She retired from Parker Chevrolet. She also worked for Piggly Wiggly and R & M Drugs. She enjoyed painting and prided herself on having a clean house. She enjoyed bird watching and shopping. Barbara Ann loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.
She is survived by her daughter, Regina Wilson of Tifton; son, Steve (Rena) Burdett of Sycamore; sisters, Debbie (Dan) Cook of Norwich, Vermont and Cindy (Allen) Smith of Bonifay, Florida; grandchildren, Cori Lord, Brian (Alisha) Burdett and Kelly (Seth) Harrison; great-grandchildren, Kaycee Burdett and Isaac Burdett and a host nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Humphrey “Doodle Bug” Burdett; sisters, Linda Shirah, Claudine Conn and Shelby Haynes; brothers, W. L. Ward and Tommy Ward.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at Sycamore Baptist Church with interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
