Paula Gwendolyn Murray

Funeral services for Paula Gwendolyn Murray, age 51, of 321 McLendon St., Ashburn will be held Saturday, May 20, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at the Ashburn First Baptist Church with burial to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn. Ms. Murray died Wednesday at Tift Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

Ms. Murray was born in Tift County, Georgia and was the daughter of the late William B. Murray, Jr. and Annette Beard Murray of Ashburn. She was a graduate of Tift County High School, ABAC, and the University of Georgia. Ms. Murray was retired school teacher from the Tift County School System and was a member of the Ashburn First Baptist Church where she served in the Preschool Sunday School Department, Vacation Bible School, and G.A.’s. Her hobbies were reading, writing and painting.

Survivors include her mother, Annette Beard Murray, Ashburn, Ga.; two brothers, William A. Murray, Homerville, Ga. and Brian D. Murray, Layton, Utah. Also surviving are six nieces and nephews: Ross Murray, Ben Murray, Trey Murray all of Homerville, Ga., David Murray, Amanda Murray, and Eddie Murray.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00-9:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel.
