Jane R. Wheeler

Funeral services for Mrs. Jane R. Wheeler, 80, of Ashburn, Ga. will be held Saturday, May 27, 2006 at 2:00 PM in the Bethel Baptist Church in Turner Co., Ga. Interment will follow in the Bethel Cemetery. Mrs. Wheeler passed away Friday at her residence following a short illness.

The daughter of the late Cone Edward and Ruth Bussey Coker she was born in Turner Co. and was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. She enjoyed helping with church services at Ashburn Health Care and tending to her flowers. She lived in Tampa, FL for 34 years where she retired after working as a switchboard operator for the City of Tampa Police Dept. She was the widow of James Russell Wheeler.

Survivors include her children, Thomas C. Wheeler, Land O’ Lakes, FL.; Stephen G. Wheeler, Bradenton, FL.; Phil Wheeler and wife Terry, Sycamore, GA. A sister, Eunice Rainey, Sycamore, GA. Her brothers Wesley Coker, Greensboro, GA. and Bussey Coker, Sycamore, GA. Four grandchildren and Eight great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 till 9 at Perry Funeral Chapel.
