Esther Gilbert

Funeral Services for Esther Mae Lamb Gilbert, 87, of Ashburn, Ga. will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 29, 2006 at the Perry Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the Oklahoma Cemetery in Wilcox Co., Ga. Mrs. Gilbert passed away Thursday following an extended illness.

The daughter of the late Webster and Ida Florence Ambrose Lamb she was born in Turner Co. and was a homemaker. Mrs. Gilbert was the widow of Johnnie Lee Gilbert and was also preceded in death by a son, Johnny Gilbert. She was a member of the Oklahoma Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children Kenneth Gilbert of Ashburn and Maurice L. Jones of Lilly; a sister Lorene Brown of Cordele and three grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 till 9 at Perry Funeral Chapel.
