Sarah Peebles Royal

Funeral services for Sarah Peebles Royal, age 94, 231 Lamar St., Ashburn will be held Monday, November 20, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at the Ashburn First Baptist Church with burial to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn. Mrs. Royal died Saturday at Tift Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

Mrs. Royal was born in Wilcox County. Georgia and was the daughter of the late L. Clyde & Katherine Osborne Peebles. She retired as an elementary school teacher after forty years. She was a member of the Ashburn First Baptist Church and a Sunday School teacher for many years teaching the Sarah Royal Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel C. Royal, Sr. in 1991 and one son Dr. David L. Royal in 1986.

Mrs. Royal is survived by one son, Dan C. Royal, Jr. of Tifton; one granddaughter Lorie R. & Tony Rowe and one great granddaughter, Katy Rowe all of Knoxville, Tennessee.

Visitation will be held Monday at the Ashburn First Baptist Church from 10:00 A.M. until service time.
