J.B. DuPree

Graveside Funeral Services for J. B. DuPree, age 85, of 723 Grand Street, Ashburn will be held Thursday December 28, 2006 at 11:00 A. M. at the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. DuPree died Tuesday at Tift Regional Medical Center after long illness.

Mr. DuPree was a native of Grady County, Ga. the son of the late William Henry and Donna Franklin Perry DuPree. He was retired from the Ashburn City Fire Department and a member of the Harmony Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War Two serving in the U. S. Army and had been a longtime resident of Ashburn.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years Judy Lumpkin DuPree, Ashburn, a son Joe (Carolyn) DuPree, Ashburn and a daughter Helen (Howard) Harbuck, Tifton. Four grandchildren DeNanne Dupree, Ashburn, Shawn (Teresa) DuPree, Sycamore, and Sherae (Gil) Howell and Mitch ( Tiffiny) Watson of Richmond Hill, Ga. and eight Great-Grandchildren Brandon McLeod, Hannah Newsome of Ashburn and Allan DuPree and Kristian DuPree of Sycamore, and Tanner Howell, Zach Howell, Drew Howell and Nate Watson all of Richmond Hill, Ga.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home for those who wish you may visit the family at the residence 723 Grand Street, Ashburn.
