Versie Woodruff

Funeral services for Versie H. Woodruff, age 93, of Sycamore, Ga. will be held Saturday, January 13, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at the Sycamore Baptist Church with burial to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn. Mrs. Woodruff died Wednesday in Tift Health Care following an short illness.

Mrs. Woodruff was born in Turner County and was the daughter of the late Charlie & Della Wood Hancock. She was the retired Manager of the lunchroom of the Turner County School System where she served for over 25 years. She was a member of the Sycamore Baptist Church and was the widow of the late Walter W. Woodruff.

Survivors include one son and daughter in law, James A. & Helen Woodruff, Sycamore, Ga.. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Wayne (Margaret) Woodruff, Tifton, Ga.; Rhonda (Mike) Hancock, Sycamore; James A. (Regina) Woodruff, Jr., Sycamore, Ga. and Jan (Mike) Howell, Ocala, Florida; six great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Mrs. Woodruff is also survived by a special niece, Margaret Day, Tifton, Ga.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 1:00-2:00 P.M. at the Sycamore Baptist Church.
