Gordon Lee Saylor

Funeral services for Gordon Lee Saylor, 96, of Ashburn will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mr. Saylor died Sunday at Tift Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

Mr. Saylor was born in Floyd County and was the son of the late Jerry M. and Mary Holt Saylor. He was a retired farmer. He enjoyed walking around his farm, picking up pecans, quail hunting, fishing and watching baseball games and wrestling events. Mr. Saylor was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Albritton Saylor in 1998,

Mr. Saylor is survived by his children: Edward (Flora) Saylor, Plant City, FL., Felton (Jeanette) Saylor, Sycamore, Ga., Curtis Saylor, Ashburn, Ga., Leroy (Yvonne) Saylor, Tifton, Ga., Harold (Faye) Saylor, Sycamore, Ga., Bobbie (Alto) McKinney, Ashburn, Ga., Melba (Tom) Moody, Tifton, Ga. and Merle (Ann) Saylor, Macon, Ga. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, and one brother, Oscar Saylor of Ashburn, Ga.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel.
