Mary Lou McSwain

Funeral Services for Mary Lou Fellows McSwain, age 85, of Rebecca, Georgia, will be held at 3:00 P. M. Saturday at the Rebecca Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Big Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Irwin County, Georgia. Mrs. McSwain died Wednesday, February 21, 2007, at Taylor Regional Hospital, Hawkinsville, Georgia. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. McSwain, a native of Laurens County, Georgia, was the daughter of the late Walter Herman and Ella Mae Vaughn Fellows. She was the widow of the late Oscar Floyd McSwain. She was a member of the Rebecca Baptist Church, the Rebecca Baptist W. M. U., Primetimers, Keenagers Club, and Rebecca Arts and Crafts Club. She had been a resident of Rebecca for over 60 years, but more recently resided at Northside Villa in Rochelle. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Denise McSwain and Luke Alberson.

She is survived by her children, Gwendell and Louve McSwain, Gray, Georgia, Dennis and Reatha McSwain, Pitts, Georgia, Carlos and Barbara McSwain, Valdosta, Georgia, and Linda and Bill McCraine, Brookfield, Georgia; her sisters Lillian Wisham, Thomaston, Georgia, Betty Roll, Panama City, Florida, Lorie Kleier, Brookfield, Illinois, and Ernie Bowles, Newnan, Georgia, and eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from Five until Seven Friday evening.
