George Lanier, Jr.

Funeral services for George Lanier, Jr., 72, of Vienna, GA. will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 20, 2007 in The Pitts Church of God in Pitts, GA. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn, GA. Mr. Lanier passed away Saturday in Dooly Co., GA. from injuries received in an auto accident.

The son of the late George Cornelus and Sarah Elizabeth Peddy Lanier, Sr. he was born in Pulaski Co., GA. and had resided in Dooly Co. for the past 13 years. He was a member of the Church of God in Vienna, GA. and was owner of Lanier Carpet Cleaning. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a granddaughter Lexi Bringman.

Survivors include his wife, Clara Dunagan Lanier of Vienna, GA., his children George C. Lanier III of Vienna, GA., Sherry Gwen Wester of Franklin, TN. and Donna Faye Bringman of Cordele, GA.; his sister, Frances Penman, Tarpon Springs, FL., four grandchildren; a niece and nephew.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from seven until nine at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn.
