Memorial Services for Margaret Garner Faircloth, age 82, of Tifton will be held Monday, July 30, 2007, at 3:00 P. M. at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn. Mrs. Faircloth died Sunday at Tift Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Faircloth was born in of Turner County. She was the daughter of the late Ernest Walter Garner, Sr. who died in 1944 and Lela Elizabeth Saffold Garner who died in 1981. She attended Huntington College in Montgomery, Al. and was a former volunteer with The March of Dimes. At the time of her death she was President of the Resident’s Council at Tift Health Care. She was a member of the Amboy Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son Walter Ty Faircloth, 1972, three grandchildren, Julianne Faircloth, 1998, Timothy Pate Faircloth, 2000, and Lydia Sue Faircloth, 2005; two brothers, Lt. Ernest W. Garner, Jr., 1945, Dr. James W. Garner, 1970, and one sister, Emily G. Rhodes, 2004.
Survivors include four sons, Jim K. Faircloth, Greensboro, Ga., John J. Faircloth, Macon, Ga., Timothy Allen Faircloth, Ashburn, Ga. and Jay Garner Faircloth, Moultrie, Ga. and one brother Everett A. Garner, Ashburn, Ga.
