Memorial services for James “Jimmy” Stephen Faircloth, age 65, of Smith-Durham Road, Ashburn will be held Saturday, December 15, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel. Mr. Faircloth died Monday at his residence.
Mr. Faircloth was born in Crisp County, Georgia and was the son of the late Woodrow W. & Millie Anderson Faircloth. He was a graduate of Turner County High School. He was a retired Master Sergeant from the U.S. Army. He served in Vietnam and received several medals including the Bronze Star, and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w/ Palm.
Following his retirement from the U. S. Army, he returned to Turner County and operated his business of ‘Double Run Kennels’ where he bred and raised dogs. He was of the Baptist Faith.
Mr. Faircloth is survived by his wife, Lanelle Dean Faircloth, Ashburn, son and daughter, Stephen Jay Faircloth, Somerville, Mass; and Deborah Rene’ Hilley, Baconton, Ga., three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Also surviving are his brother and sisters, Gerald E. Faircloth, Ft. Walton Beach, Fl., Beverly F. Shippey, Edison, Ga., Nancy F. Wooten, Ashburn, Ga. and Kay F. Nettles, Morven, Ga. He is also survived by his Mother-in-Law, Eloise Dean, Ashburn, Ga.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Perry Funeral Chapel.
