Hal Waters

Funeral services for Mr. Hal F. Waters, 71, of Rebecca, GA. will be held Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 2:00 PM in the Rebecca Methodist Church with interment to follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mr. Waters passed away Wednesday at his residence following an extended illness.

The son of the late Thomas McArthur and Emmie Louise Haynie Waters, he was born in Turner Co., GA. and was a retired farmer. He served his country in the United States Air Force. Mr. Waters was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the Rebecca Methodist Church serving his church as former Sunday School Superintendent and former member of Board of Trustees. He was also a former board member of The Turner County Board of Education. Having survived many serious health problems, his faith and his commitment to Jesus Christ stayed strong. His living testament was a great comfort and inspiration to all those who were blessed to know him.

Survivors include his wife, Lyndall F. Waters, Rebecca; his son Mark (Diane) Waters, Rebecca; his daughter Andrea (Al) Bozeman, Thomasville; his grandchildren, Jess Stubbs, Dara Creech, Jamie Waters and Haley Chambers; his great-grandchildren, Isabel Stubbs and Carson Creech. He is also survived by his brother T.M. Waters, Jr., Rebecca. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Elizabeth Ann Perry.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from six until eight at Perry Funeral Chapel.
