Charles Perry Swain

Memorial services for Charles Perry Swain, 65, Americus, Georgia will be held Sunday, January 6, 2008 at 2:30 P.M. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Rebecca, Georgia with burial to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mr. Swain died Thursday at Phoebe Putney Hospital, Albany, Ga.

Mr. Swain was born in Turner County, Georgia and was the son of the late Bennie N. & Winnie Coleman Swain. He was a cabinet maker and had resided in Americus for the past 17 years. He was of the Baptist Faith.

Mr. Swain is survived by his wife Jean Stanfield of Americus, Ga., one son, Carlton Swain, Sylvester, one brother, John N. Swain, Charlotte, N.C. and two sisters, Jane Freshour, Edwardsburg, Mich., and Brenda Womack, Arabi, Ga.
