Dorothy S. Greene

Funeral services for Dorothy S. Greene age 76, of Sycamore, will be held Saturday, February 2, 2008 at 11:00 A. M. at the Sycamore Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn. Mrs. Greene died Wednesday at her son’s residence following a short illness.

Mrs. Greene was born in Turner County, the daughter of the late Young Joseph & Pauline Layton Stover. She was a retired Bookkeeper and was a member of the Sycamore Baptist Church where she was a member of W. M. U. She was a member of the Keenage Club. She was widow of the late George M. Greene who died in 1982.

Mrs. Greene is survived by one son, Joe Greene and his wife, Candy of Sycamore and Grandchildren Ashley Greene, Ashburn, Beth Gilmer, Sycamore, and Great Grandchildren Bailey Ann Greer, Sycamore, Ga., Gracie Jo Gunn, Ashburn and Jacqueline Gilmer, Leesburg, Ga. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Lynn Greene in 1959 and one brother, William G. “Bill” Stover in 1967.

The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel.
