Funeral services for Bonnie Edge Cooper, 89. of Ashburn will be held Friday, February 8, 2008 at 3:00 P.M. at the New Prospect Freewill Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Cooper died Wednesday at Tift Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Cooper was born in Turner County and was the daughter of the late Robert L. & Mary Maude Yarbrough Edge. She was a homemaker and a member of the New Prospect Freewill Baptist Church. Her hobbies were reading, working with flowers, and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Richard Cooper in 2003, one son, W. Anthony Cooper in 1944 and three grandsons: Alan Keith Irvin, 1987, Edward Eugene Irvin, 1989, and Anthony Faircloth in 1992.
She is survived by one son, Earl Ray Cooper, Tifton, Ga. and two daughters, Wanda Durden, Ashburn, Ga. and Brenda (Gerry) Faircloth, Ft. Walton Beach, FL. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M., Thursday at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn.
