Memorial services for William “Bill” McQueen, 76, of Ashburn will be held Saturday at 2:00 P.M. at the Christian Union Church of God in Ashburn. Mr. McQueen died Wednesday at Tift Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.
Mr. McQueen was born in Wayne County and had resided in Ashburn for the last seven years. He was a retired service station attendant and was a Seventh Day Adventist. He served in the U.S. Army and the Indiana National Guard.
Mr. McQueen was precede in death by his first wife, Clara Deloris McQueen and a daughter, Angela R. McQueen.
Mr. McQueen is survived by his wife Brenda McQueen, Ashburn, Ga.; one son, Dale (Janie) DeBruhl, of Sycamore, Ga.; two daughters, Wanda (Ben, Jr.) McCurdy, Sycamore, Ga., and Joyce (Donald) Jiles, Mobile, Alabama. Also surviving is one brother, E.J. McQueen, Phoenix, Arizona and one sister, Jean Green, Richmond, Indiana, and eleven grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00-2:00 P.M. at the Christian Union Church of God.
