Louise Smith Thompson

Funeral services for Louise Smith Thompson, 84. of Rebecca, Ga. will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at 3:00 P.M. in Perry Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in the Sunnyside Cemetery in Cordele, Ga. Mrs. Thompson died Sunday in Fitzgerald Nursing Home following an extended illness.

Mrs. Thompson was born in Crisp County, Georgia and had resided in Turner County for over fifty years. She was the daughter of the late Daniel P. & Annie Mae Braswell Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of the Cedar Creek Baptist Church in Crisp County, Ga. Mrs. Thompson’s hobbies were sewing and reading. She was the widow of Cenor Thompson.

She is survived by two sons, Daniel (Dawn) Lamb of Abbeville, Ga., Raymond (Kay) Lamb of Dover, Florida and one daughter, Stella Phelps, of Fitzgerald, Ga. Also surviving are two sisters, Agnes Gibbs of Columbus, Ga., Mildred Musselwhite of Thomaston, Ga. and one brother, Roy Smith of Cheraw, South Carolina. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2:00 -3:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel.
