William "Billie" Davis

Funeral services for Mr. William “Billie” Davis, 82, of Ashburn, GA. will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, March 10, 2008 at Oak Grove Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Davis passed away Friday in an Albany, GA. hospital following a lengthy illness.

The son of the late Baskel L. and Mamie Wallace Davis he was born in Turner Co. and lived most of his life here. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Mary R. Davis, his children, Jerry Wooten, Randy Davis and Lisa Harrell all of Ashburn. His brothers, Virgil Davis of Ashburn and Marvin J. Davis of Arabi, GA. He also is survived by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening from seven until nine at Perry Funeral Chapel.
