Herbert Ray Yarbrough, Sr.

Graveside funeral services for Herbert Ray Yarbrough, Sr., 77, of Sycamore, Ga. will be held Friday, March 28, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. in Snowridge Cemetery in Ashburn. Mr. Yarbrough died Tuesday at Tift Regional Medical Center following a sudden illness.

Mr. Yarbrough was born in Turner County, Georgia and was the son of the late Walter S. & Nellie Lee Dryden Yarbrough. He was a long time resident of Lakeland, Florida before moving back to Turner County in 1998. He was a retired sewing machine mechanic for Murphy Cap & Gown Company in St. Petersburg, Florida. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

Mr. Yarbrough is survived by his wife Juanita Lipham Yarbrough, of Sycamore, Ga.; one son Herbert Ray Yarbrough, Jr. and one daughter, Mattie Louise Cody, both of Lakeland, Florida. Also surviving are one brother, C.S. Yarbrough, of Acworth, Ga. and one sister, Julie Faye Arnold, of Sycamore, Ga. and four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel.
