Wedthu Berry

Graveside funeral services for Wedthu Berry, 104, of Ashburn will be held Monday at 11:00 A.M. in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Berry died Saturday at the Ashburn Health Care following an extended illness.

Mrs. Berry was born in Sumter County, Georgia and had lived most of her life in Turner County. She was the daughter of the late Arrie T. and Ruth Hearn Stanford. She was a retired telephone operator and clothing store clerk. She was a member of the Rebecca Methodist Church and loved visiting her friends and working in her yard. She was the widow of the late Leon T. Berry. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Winton Stanford, R.D. Stanford, Leon Stanford and two sisters, Imogene Young and Myrtle Paulk.

Mrs. Berry is survived by a son Billy Berry, of Albany, Ga., Emily Hobbs, of Ashburn and Mary Bennett, of Macon. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Parker. She is also survived by two sisters, Mamie Davis, of Rebecca and Frances Spivey of Nixa, Missouri and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Sunday from y7:00-9:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel.
